Sorry to have missed the opportunity to pay my respects to Mabel last week. Mabel was a highly respected colleague at Macdonald Drive Elementary. She had a very long teaching career and had wise advice to share.with beginning teachers like myself. Mabel was also our daughter Lori Clarke’s grade one teacher.

I got to know Mabel here at Tiffany Village where she buzzed around confidently in her compact electric wheelchair.. I enjoyed talking to her about Ireland’s Eye where we had sailed for many years and also about her teaching experiences.. She was always pleasant and had a sharp mind. I am glad to have met her and did enjoy her company.. I send you all my best wishes and happy thoughts for a a life well lived.

Sincere condolences to all Mabel’s family and friends. Mabel was a lovely lady and a wonderful teacher. I taught with her at Macdonald Drive Elementary and saw first hand her love for every child in her class. She always brought out the best in them. May she test on peace.
.

Sending condolences to Mabel’s family. Mabel made a huge impact in my life. She tutored me in reading as an adult after my diagnosis of a learning disability. We connected not just as tutor and student but ended up connecting on a family level. We found out my great grandfather Kane was related to their Kane family. My family connected with the whole Kane family at the reunion. Mabel has always had a special place in my heart and thank her for helping support me to further my education and become a psychologist. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be here today. Rest in peace and until we meet again. I love you Mabel.
