Madonna Heringer (nee Sharpe)

Obituary

HERINGER (nee Sharpe), Madonna Blanch – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Madonna at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador on April 28th, 2022 at the age of 73. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert and parents Edna and Edward.

Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are daughter Nikki and the dog Madonna loved dearly from abroad, Freddy. Also leaving to mourn are her dear cousin and friend Maureen Manuel Coles, friends and caregivers Dinah Stamp, Pamela Porter and Erika Prada Garavito, supportive cousin and friend Elizabeth Wells, and long-time friends of the family Lori Hogan and Brian Kidney. Madonna’s kind heart, wicked sense of humour, and never-ending positivity were well-known and loved by those around her.

Madonna loved those near and dear to her fiercely and created many treasured memories not just in Newfoundland but in her 26 years in Ontario and of course, during her trips to Europe with her husband and daughter. She cherished her in-laws in Hungary and would enthusiastically share stories of her time in Budapest. Later, she made many wonderful memories in Berlin, Germany with her daughter Nikki and while traveling by train with a huge smile across her face.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at 11am at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road. No visitation will be held.

Flowers are graciously declined. Donations in her memory to an animal welfare charity of your choosing are welcome.
