Kay was a nurse by profession and thoroughly enjoyed her work. All of her family and friends would know that Kay and her husband Bill lived life to the fullest. From their days at their cabin in Horeschops, to the cottage in Branch, they spent their free time hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, argo adventures, berry picking, hiking, camping and spending quality time with family and friends. Then came the motorcycle years and as a couple they traveled throughout the province, eastern Canada and as far south as Boston. They were always on the move and had a positive attitude on life.

The family would like to send out its heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care she received from the professional staff of Cambridge Estates, Dr. Singleton, and the friendship of the residents of Cambridge estates, who together made her time there so enjoyable.

Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home on 329 Freshwater Road, Thursday December 19th, from 2-4 pm and 7- 9 pm. A celebration of Kay’s life will be held in the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 10:00 am Friday December 20th and will be immediately followed by a reception at the funeral home. Internment to follow at a later date.

So sorry to hear about your mom.. She was a lovely lady.
We didn’t know till today..
Just remember the good times and that she is with your dad again

Jim, Jo Ann, and Janet,

So sorry to hear about Aunt Kay’s passing. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out. I fondly remember my many gatherings with Uncle Bill and Aunt Kay and both Aunt Kay and I would acknowledge each other over conversations that we both found either odd or far fetched. Kay would give me one of those side of the head nods and her wonderful grins.

I loved Aunt Kay because of her sincerity and her ability to always know who was being up front and who wasn’t.

Uncle Bill is delighted to have Aunt Kay with him again, he was a very lucky man to have Kay as his lifetime partner.

God Bless you Aunt Kay!

Brian O’Grady and Family

I am so sorry to hear that my former colleague has passed away.
Kay came to Public Health Nursing with a wealth of knowledge of Child Health which she shared with us; and, in turn she was always eager to learn something new. She had empathy and respect for all her clients.
I love this picture of her. Her warmth and beauty always radiated from her smile.
God bless.

Jim and family my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother

Keith and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.

Sorry to hear of your moms, my Auntie Kay’s passing. All though I’ve been away quite a while I vividly remember as a small lad goin Ski Doin with your family. We would have a boil up and Kay would all ways have a treat with our tea. I remember she also used Carnation powdered milk in the bush for tea.. Many times leaving Holy Heart I’d drop in for a hello and all ways was invited to stick around for supper..She did look good on the back of Uncle Bills bike, motor cycle momma.. Enjoy the other side.

Jim , Janet and Jo Anne
I have so many fond memories of your Mom.
Her specialty dinners, Partridge, Rabbit,Flippers, where, without a doubt, the best..
My fondest memory was Bill and Kay’s trip out to Vancouver and us.. We four went to Mount Baker( in Washington State) ,cross country skiing. Peter was born on skiis and as we were struggling up the mountain, huffing and puffing, there we saw him snicking a ride on the chair, ” rip off”. Hugs to all.
Love you Kay.
