On behalf of our family, including my mother, Alma Jean Currie (Mardi’s first cousin), we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Bastow family. Mardi had a significant presence in the Long family and recounted multiple humourous and heartfelt stories about her days “up on the farm” where she spent many happy summers while growing up. We will be making a donation in Mardi’s honour to support Alzheimer research. Warm wishes, Bonnie Stevens and family.

We wish we could be with the Bastow family as they celebrate Mardi’s life. We will be making a donation in Mardi’s honour to the St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Saint John. N.B. Mardi was a very special cousin to us all. Sincerely, Pauline, Gregory, Wayne & Heather Long.

Mardi was a very special lady we had the privilege of knowing as she shared a room at Chancellor Park with our mom for two years. We enjoyed her recounting her travels and her talks about her work, but most of all we delighted in that beautiful smile that met us each time we visited. She had such a sunny disposition and a wonderful sense of humour. Our mother and we were so very fortunate to have had her in our lives. Our days were brighter because of her. We extend our deepest sympathies to Mardi’s family and friends.

We were very sorry to hear of Mardi’s passing. We came to know Mardi a little while she and my mother Sue Walsh shared a room at Chancellor Park. Mardi was fun-loving and kind. She and Sue were a good match with their humour and sense of fun. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to Mardi’s family and friends at this time. Fred and Mary Walsh.

My Condolences to Marci’s family. I worked with her husband Gordon, and remember how wonderful she treated all gusts to their home,
