Obituary

It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Mary Agnes Thornhill, aged 60.

She is predeceased by her parents Hubert and Margaret Peddle, brother Walter Peddle, brother Hubert Peddle and parents-in-law Raymond and Gertrude Thornhill.

She leaves to mourn her husband Douglas, daughters Tracy (Cory), Trudy (Steve), Tiffany (Tristan), her son Jason (Michelle), 9 grandchildren Cameron, Chloe, Charlotte, Ethan, Carter, Logan, Liam, Isabella and Meredith, sisters and brothers Gert, Tony (Lynn), Marg (Steve), Trish (Randy), Bernard and Ron (Roma).

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, March 31 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

She will be forever loved and in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Both Ron and I worked with Mary on Hibetnia for many many years. She was such a pleasure to be around. She will be sad,y missed and will be remembered forever. I am in muskrat Falls and so sorry I can’t.be there for the visitation. But you are in my thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace

Doug and family, I am so sad to hear of Mary’s passing. I am currently offshore and would like to be there in person. So many of us out here feel the same way so please accept our condolences from Mary’s offshore family.
Some of us sat and chatted last night offshore and told stories. Mary was here with us from the beginning and the rig was never the same after she left. A wonderful friend, co-worker and I am sure wife, mother and grandmother. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
