Obituary
With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Mary Ellen Spurvey Dwyer, age 76, on August 7, 2024 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, NL.
Predeceased by husband Wayne; parents Catherine and Vincent; brothers Dominic, George and Richard; nephews Cyril and Leo; niece Marilyn.
Mary is survived by her children Catherine, William and Deborah; siblings Beth, Eileen, Vincent (Catherine), Fred (Allison), Charlotte (Todd) and Charles (Eileen); as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.
Special thanks to the caring staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Chancellor Park.
Flowers are gratefully declined but if you wish you may donate to a charity of your choosing.
Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
Mary was a wonderful person. I got to know her over the years through Del and Cathy. We enjoyed many meals and conversations together when she visited. I looked forward to playing scrabble on line every morning with her. She was a good player. Mary will be missed by many and was loved by all. Condolences to Cathy, Bill., Deborah.
