Obituary
The family of the late Mary Mercedes Picco sadly announce her passing away from cancer on July 19, 2025 at the Glenbrook Lodge in St. Johns. She was 78 years of age.
Mercedes is predeceased by her mom, Livenia (Norman) Picco and her father John (Jack) Picco, as well as sister-in-law Catherine (Mahon) Picco and brother-in-laws Rex Roberts and Adrian Angel.
She leaves to mourn sisters Carolyn (Fred), Geraldine (Derrick), Bernadette, Joan, and her brother John.
At this time the family would like to thank the amazing staff of the several care homes in Conception Bay South where she resided for many years. The family also respectfully and sincerely acknowledges the wonderful and caring staff at the Glenbrook lodge, St. Johns.
There will be no visitation as per Mercedes’s wishes. A funeral service will be held on Friday the 25th of July at 12 p.m., Donations in her memory can be made to the cancer care foundation.
