Obituary
Passed away peacefully January 16, 2022 at Pleasant View Towers in the presence of her family. Predeceased by her parents Frances and Chesley Price, and sisters Dora Coombs (Bill) and Beatrice Price. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 60 years Claude Matthews; children Peggy Bond (Ernie), Claudette Matthews (Dave Mercer), and Michael Matthews; grandchildren Natasha Lowe (Danny), Nicole Matthews, Bobbi Bond, Ashley Royle (Duane), Daniel Brooking, Megan Matthews, and Michael Matthews; great-grandchildren Sydney Bond, Mattea Lowe, Samantha Lawlor, Abby Royle, Madison Bond, and Riley Royle; sisters Lorraine Griffin (Brian), Liz Keeping (Freeman, deceased), and Freda Minster (Albert, deceased); brothers Albert Price (Elsie), Joe Price, and Chesley Price (Amy).
Maude was a kind soul who was loved dearly by everyone who knew her. She had a great sense of humour and knew just what to say to brighten someone’s day. She will be greatly missed and remembered with many fond memories.
A special thank-you to the staff at Pleasant View Towers 2SW. Words cannot express how much we appreciate the care you have provided the past 3 ½ years and the support and guidance you provided towards the end of her life.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of her life will be held privately with close family members.
In lieu of flowers and to honour her love for animals, donations can be made to an animal shelter/rescue of your choosing.
