Obituary

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Max Barrett, formally of Tack’s Beach, on December 18, 2019.

Predeceased by parents John and Alice; parents-in-law Chesley and Gwendolyn; and family Charlie and Jessie, Bessie and Frank, Annie and Frank.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife Gwendolyn (nee Earle); daughter Maxine (Trevor); his prides

and joy, grandchildren Tavian and Amber; sisters Marie (Baxter – deceased) and Blanche (Bud –

deceased); brothers-in-law Ern and Bill (Kay); sisters-in-law Barbara, Donna (Kevin – deceased) and Ida;

as well as many other relatives, friends, and church family.

Special thank you to the staff at Pleasant View Towers 3NE for their kindness and care.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, December 21 from 4-9 p.m. Funeral

service will take place at Holy Innocents Anglican Church, 297 Paradise Road, on Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at Holy Innocents Anglican Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Innocents Anglican Church.

I was very sorry to hear of Max’s passing. He was a beautiful person who spent time with my sister Beth and often brought her a daily newspaper. I’d like to think they are both resting in a much better place. God bless them both. Janice Winsor

Maxine, Trevor and family, I was so sorry to hear about your father’s passing. It is never easy to say good bye to the people we love. Take care.

Gwen, Maxine and Family, We were deeply saddened to hear of Max’s passing! Please be assured, you are in my prayers. Max was such a kind person, a wonderful neighbour and always ready to lend a helping hand. We remember his laughter, and how he and Fred loved to chat and share stories. We will miss Max and cherish his memory.

Gwennie, Maxine and all the family, so sorry to hear of Mac’s passing. What a wonderful person! He loved life and he loved his family. So glad Carol and I got to visit in hospital before leaving for Doha. We could have stayed for days exchanging and just listening to his great stories. We will remember Mac and cherish that time with you both forever.

Max was a real gentleman and so kind to my sister Beth at Pleasantview Towers. I will remember him fondly. May they both Rest In Peace.
