Michael Martin 1945-2025.
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike Martin. He passed peacefully at home with his beloved Greta by his side on Thursday, September 4th, 2025.
An amazing soul with a passion for life, Mike always loved to make others laugh and enjoy life. He was a such a presence in people’s lives.
He was preceded in death by his dad James; Mom Gertrude; and brothers Jimmy and Bobby.
Mike is survived by his partner Greta; his children Christina (Heather), Jim (Terri), Dan (Annessa), Tara, Nish (Linda) Christopher (Victoria), Krista (Bruce); his siblings Verna (Al), Marie, Sharon, Linda (Cyril), and Gerry, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life for Mike in the family home at 29 MacDonald Drive on Monday from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mike will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery located on The Blvd, in St. John’s, on Tuesday, September 9th at 2:30 p.m. friends and family welcome to attend.

My heartfelt condolences to Mike’s Family and friends. He had a heart of gold and joyous laughter personified his life. I met him and his family whilst looking for a place to live back in the early 80’s and we immediately connected. Our adventures with the dart league and after hours playing for coin and just the over all shamainigans Mike, Danny, Dave, Jeff, myself and the rest played will be forever remembered.
