Michael Joseph Coleman was born on January 7, 1951 and passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park August 29, 2024.
Mike is survived by his wife Irene of 51 years and two daughters Tracy Feltham (Rick) and Michelle Coleman as well as two grandsons, Dominic Coleman and Josh Feltham.
Sister Angela Gibbons (Sandy). Mike was predeceased by parents, John and Angela Coleman, sister Maureen Fitzgerald and nephew Danny Fitzgerald. Also leaving to mourn brother-in-law’s Mike Fitzgerald, Gary Morgan (Arden) and Bill Morgan, sister-in-law‘s Barb Morgan, Brenda Morgan ( Alan), Gail Young (Darrell) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thank you to the staff at Chancellor Park for their compassionate care.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday September 1st.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
Interment to take place on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven R.C. Cemetery, Beaumont Hamel Way, St. John’s.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
Mick will be dearly missed by all.

Irene, we were shocked and saddened to get the sad news of Mike’s passing. We both want to thank you for being the best neighbors for 31 years. We have many fond memories of you both. Mike cleared out our driveway so many times after he got his tractor! He was a man of many talents. I still have the wooden chest that he made for me many years ago! Such a gentle, soft spoken man… he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
His suffering has ended now, and he can Rest In Peace. You and your family are in our thoughts during this sad time. God Speed, Mike.
