Miriam Eileen Moores
Passed peacefully on Monday August 24 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her husband Lloyd Moores, parents Miriam and Chelsey King, Sisters Mary (Bob) Evans, Ruth (Charles) LeGrow, Pearl (Samuel) Butler, Brothers Spurgeon (Stella) King, Alton (Florence) King, Harold (Rita) King, and brother-in-law Gordon Hudson
Left with fond and loving memories son Gary (Helen) Moores, daughters Wanda (Gabriel) Connors, Heather (Lex) Hudson. Grandchildren Vanessa, Stephanie, Paul, Cheryl, Brandon and Mark. Great-grandchildren Emma, Alexander, Ben, Sam, Liam and Ethan. Two sisters Fannie Hudson and Doris (Ralph) Beachem. Sisters in law Ruby (Edgar)Williams and Millie (Allan) Piercey. Special nieces Roma Quinton and Linda Porter. Also extended family and friends.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, Freshwater Road on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
Funeral Service to take place at Memorial United Church, in Pouch Cove on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:00 am. Interment following the funeral at the Memorial United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove Line.
Donations of memorial may be made to Memorial United Church Pouch Cove.

Chris and I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to all the family on the passing of Eileen. Sorry we couldn’t make it to funeral home as we ourselves were at funeral home and service past couple of days for Chris’s dad Cecil Thorne.They knew each other very well with family ties. May they both rest in peace and have met again.❤️

I was sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Her and my Mom (Norma Sullivan) were life-long friends having grown up together in Bauline. Over the years Mom told me lots of stories of their shenanigans as children and teenagers.
