Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL on August 14th, 2026, Noel Christopher Tucker at the age of 52, in the presence of his family after a short illness.
Noel is predeceased by his grandparents – Uriah & Louisa Tucker and Benjamin & Evelyn Squires.
Leaving to mourn are his parents – Walter & Susanna Tucker; sister – Jennella; special cousins – Lorna Connolly Hobbs and Sandy Tucker; special aunt – Grace Tucker; uncle – Halley Squires as well as a large circle of other cousins and relatives and all of his buddies in St. Philip’s.
Noel loved to play the accordion, he loved to fish and loved camping at the cabin in Brigus Junction, where he spent much time with his buddies in his younger years. Noel’s last job was as a dump truck driver with Weir’s Construction. He was so proud of his Class 1 Driver’s License. Noel also worked with PJP Construction – The Parrell Brothers, Wayne, Ted and Paddy, Acadia Drywall and John Kendell Construction. Prior to his experience with driving a dump truck, Noel began installing flooring with his uncle Winston Squires and then with the Tucker boys – Ian, Derek and Wayne.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. A. Rideout and Pam Hunt, Nurse at Major’s Path, who took such good care of Noel. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses of the Urgent Care Centre and the Health Sciences Centre in Noel’s final days.
Public Visitation will take place from Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, NL on Monday, August 17th, 2026 from 10:30AM-9:00PM. Funeral Service will take place from St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 at 2:00PM. Interment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Noel’s memory to the Diabetic Association or to St. Philip’s Anglican Church.

School years, birthday parties, Brigus Junction years as kids and adults(so many awesome memories)!!! We loved Brigus Junction!!! He did the flooring in my house for me. I am so lucky to have had Noel as a friend my whole life and I am going to cherish my memories of him forever! ❤️
