Linda and the Fraser Family:
I first came into contact with Stuart and Linda at their Bed and Breakfast in Bonavista on one of my frequent business trips down their way.
It really was my great fortune to have met them at all with the many options available in Bonavista at the time.
My first one or two trips were a bit formal but I soon felt very much at home with Stewart and Linda.
As with Linda, Stuart and I hit it off pretty early. I loved being in his company and I enjoyed his many fascinating stories concerning his Father, Doug; his Grandfather and his life in general.
I loved being in his presence as he told stories and showed me things that fascinated and mesmerized me. He was indeed, a very eclectic man
As a very small example, Stuart had me out in his backyard on one of my visits, throwing his authentic boomerang and teaching me the correct method.
Linda, it’s been far too long but I want you to know that I’ve thought of Stuart and you often and have always held you both in my heart.
The tears escape my eyes as I say this and though it may sound trite, this world will absolutely be a smaller place without Stuart Fraser in it.
Linda, my fervent wish for you is that the healing hands of time and your faith, which I know is strong, will see you through this difficult time.
Rest in peace Stuart.
Terry

Linda, Dave and I are saddened to hear the news of Stuarts passing.. As you know, Dave and Stu have been friends since they were boys. Dave always says that they got along so well because they were both nerds. 🙂
When we’d got together, which was never often enough, you and I would be amusingly entertained by stories of their boyhood antics.
Over the past 3 weeks Dave kept saying, ” I wonder how Stuart is doing. I haven’t heard from him in a long time.” And of course I kept saying, ” Send him an email.” I believe Dave was getting the message that his boyhood pal was not doing well.
Linda I know her heart is broken and I pray you’ll find comfort in family and friends who gather around. you.
Dave and I will not be able to be with you and your family tomorrow but please remember to include us when you plan a celebration of life.
Sending our heartfelt condolences and Much Love,
Vanda & Dave Maunder

I have known and appreciated Stuart for all of my 60 years living in our province. As a newcomer, in my early days, he welcomed me with warmth and no bias. He put me at ease and enhanced my adaptation.. We kept in touch through the twists and turns of life, supporting each other in mutual friendship, loyalty, respect and appreciation.
He loved the rugged outdoors and even managed to get to me to sleep outdoors one summer night .
