Olga Lawlor passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by her family February 24, 2022. Predeceased by infant son Barry, parents Charl and Nell Parsons, brother Andrew Parsons.
Leaving to mourn her loving husband Harold, sons Rodney and Dennis, grandchildren Alyssa and Dylan, brother Charl (Daphne) Parsons, sister-in-law Joan Parsons and a large circle of family and friends.
Thank you to special friend Francis Sears and niece Vanessa Chaytor for their care during her final days. Also, the community health nurses for their care and support.
Olga loved the simple things in life and her faith was unwavering until the end.
Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, February 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Sunday, February 27 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 28 at 2 p.m.

While talking to my dad tonight he told me that he only learned of last Olga’s passing last week, we had no idea it was almost a year ago. I can remember Olga always being so kind to us and loved seeing you come in for a visit. We were always waiting for Rodney to get ready to go out for the evening. He was famous for it, always a slow poke and the last one.
Olga always had a smile on her face and so soft spoken. She was a small woman with a huge and loving heart for her family and friends. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her two boys and loving husband, Harold.
I am so sorry to hear of her passing and know God has made her a very special angel.

I am so saddened that you all are grieving the passing of your loved one. Olga has been a part of my life for over 35 years, and even though our family dynamic change our relationship still stayed. She was always there to help myself and my family when needed , and I am so glad I got the opportunity to return some the favours these last few years as she fought her battle with cancer. Olga was a small woman with a big heart she will be missed immensely.
