It has taken 60 days to face the fact that I have lost my best friend in Newfoundland. Visits back, phone calls, emailing and notes kept us in touch for years .
Now I live with the precious memories of a beautiful
soul missing from my life, love leaves a memory
no one can steal, RIP my friend. The day will come when our Spirits will meet again.

To the Chafe family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of such a Special Lady. My husband Peter had the privilege to live with her and her dear husband back in 1991 when he attended the Marine Institute. They made him feel at home and treated him like one of their own. He lived with them again in 1995 when he returned to school again. She will forever be remembered by us as the Special lady that she was. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

I sadly never had a chance to meet Aunt Patsy in person but when my she and my mom reconnected years ago, I was so thankful for it as I also then got the chance to connect with her. I learnt about her past and her present, saw photos and heard wonderful stories, I received countless heartfelt messages and comments time and time again that I’ll really miss reading – they’d always put a smile on my face. I was always so blown away by how she would remember every birthday, anniversary or special life event and that she would take the time to acknowledge it right on time with one of her sweet and thoughtful messages! Things like this made me know just how important her friends and family were to her and I’m so lucky I was among those people.

Although never meeting in person, I feel like I did really get to know Patsy for the wonderful and caring lady that she was, she seemed to really embrace everyday and I admired that. The cheery, positive Patsy I grew to know and love will be missed by so many, myself included. As always, hugs ❤️

So sorry I am not home but wish I was there to tell you this in person. It is difficult to lose your mom. Patsy was proud of her family always interested in their welfare(and safety) I remember Patsy being in shock and perhaps proud too when she learned of Dougs bungee jump .Her interest and concern extended to her friends too. John and I were in Toronto on one occasion and got a call from Patsy warning us of icy roads in Quebec Be Careful .There had been a tragic accident and Ed had lost his dad.
Please accept my sincere sympathy.I will miss Patsy every day because I always knew she was there Patsy Cared Betty
