Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Pauline Oakley (née Fitzpatrick), who passed peacefully away at the age of 75.

Leaving to mourn are her four children, Linda, David, Derek, and Amanda, and her cherished grandchildren, Amber, Kylie, and Hunter.
Also left to mourn are her sister Cellia, brothers Les (Nora) and Jack, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband Dave; parents, Arthur and Annie Fitzpatrick; brothers Pad (Ann), Vince (Georgina), Gord, Gabe (Lil), and Frank (Betty); niece Trina; nephew Perry; and many other beloved family members.

She enjoyed baking, shopping, going to dances, and a good game of cards. With a light-hearted, playful nature and a quick wit, she brought laughter to everyone around her. Pauline was a genuinely kind and sweet soul, and an incredibly strong woman whose warmth and resilience were felt by all who knew her.

Pauline was a devoted and loving mother, and her children were incredibly fortunate to have her. She had a remarkable way of making every birthday and special occasion feel meaningful, always ensuring her family felt loved and cared for. Her love, dedication, and selflessness as a mother left a lasting imprint on her family.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she shared a soft heart for all animals, especially her beloved cat Gracie, who held a special place in her heart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carnell’s Funeral Home. In honoring Pauline’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Donations in her name may be made to the Goulds Cat Rescue via their Facebook page.
