Obituary

Passed peacefully away surrounded by loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on September 24, 2016, Phyllis Schwerdtfeger, aged 73 years. Predeceased by her soulmate George Upshall; father Harry Dwyer and brother Roy Dwyer. Leaving behind with fond and loving memories her children Susan Kearley (Shawn) and Tony (Robyn); grandchildren Evan and Megan Kearley, Katie Kennedy and T. J Schwerdtfeger; mother Edith Dwyer; sisters Louise Clancey (Doug), Diane Walsh (Jim), and Linda Trelegan; brothers John (Clare) and Dennis; special friends Theresa and Una; also a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Morkar and the nursing staff of 7 East. Resting at Carnells Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday September 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday September 28 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.

I am really sorry to hear of Aunt Phyllis’ passing. I remember when we were kids she would always give me and my sisters the biggest kiss on the cheek. She was a very passionate woman. RIP
