In Loving Memory of Phyllis Lillian Irene Miller (née Churchill)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Phyllis Lillian Irene Miller (née Churchill) announce her peaceful passing at the age of 76. Phyllis passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Leslie Sr. and Mable Churchill; her sister, Linda Howell; nephew, Corey Churchill; sister-in-law, Wendy Churchill; and her dear friend, Carolyn Newhook.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Shawn (Angel) Churchill; her beloved grandchildren, Ty and Kyta Churchill; her treasured nieces, Ashley and Alma Howell, and adored grand-niece, Shyanne Howell. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers Tom (Christine) Churchill, Russell (Donna) Churchill, Bud (Diane) Churchill and Wally Churchill; her cousin, Bram Churchill, whom she always considered a sibling; and close friend, Ron Newhook.
Phyllis’s greatest joy came from caring for those around her. Her love and devotion were most evident in the way she nurtured her grandchildren, nieces, and grand niece. She was full of spirit, wonderfully strong-willed, and had a vibrant personality. Phyllis loved fiercely, laughed wholeheartedly, and lived life on her own terms. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Lawrence Anglican Church or the Canadian Cancer Society are gratefully appreciated.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this time.
