It is with sadness that we announce the sudden unexpected passing of Robert Alvin
Hollings on Saturday, October 13, 2018 while surrounded and supported by his loving
and devoted family members. Born on February 3, 1955 in Campbellford, Ontario he
was the son of the late Alvin and Laverne (nee Sheridan). Beside his parents Robert
was predeceased by special niece Gracey in 2012 and friend Jim Walsh. Robert will be
forever loved and missed by his devoted wife Rose (nee Moores) of 37 years, sons
Jeff, Cody, special companion Puppy Riley; brother Albert “Bud” (Barb); sister Peggy
(Bobby) Duck; sisters in law Kay Moores, Mary (Verno) Hayes; brothers in law Charles
(Barbara), Roger, Greg (Eunice); a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family,
special friends Bert Hynes, Paul Foley, Tom Finley, Al Crotty, Jeff and Gerard Walsh,
golf buddy Terry Upshall, and the boys of MIR whom Robert had a close working
relationship, including all those who had the privilege of coming in contact with Robert
on a daily basis and calling him friend. In keeping with Roberts personal wishes, a
private family visitation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family greatly
appreciated from which the family will make a community donation in Roberts memory.
We were shocked to learn a few days ago of your husband Bob’s sudden passing. Andy and I send to you, Jeff and Coady our sincere condolences. We pray that you will all find the strength to face these difficult months ahead. Thinking of you and God bless you all.

I was saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. We worked together on a number of occasions over the years and he was always such a pleasure to work with. My sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Condolences to his family and friends. I knew Bob since 1988 and seen him many times in Come by Chance and other ports. It was a pleasure to work with him.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. I have known Bob for many years since we have worked together at the same company. He will be truly missed in the Marine Industry.

I was shocked to learn of Bob’s death. We had worked together for many years. It is a shame that he died so young (63) & that he never had the opportunity to enjoy retirement. My sincere condolences to you & your family at this very sad time.

We were saddened to hear of Bob’s passing and would like to send our condolences to his family and assure them that Bob will be truly missed at our office and throughout the marine industry. Bob was a great guy and our roles had us in many instances working on opposites sides of an insurance claim or what have you. Bob always showed professionalism and courtesy everyone involved and it was a pleasure to have known him.
