Robert “Bob” Frank Noseworthy, passed peacefully away on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at the age of 85, with his loving wife Susan and his sister Marilyn by his side.
Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Myrtle (Mercer) Noseworthy; and his sisters Connie Murphy and Marie Porter.
Besides his devoted wife Susan (LeGrow), Bob leaves to mourn with loving memories, his children. Son Andrew Noseworthy (Dale); and his daughter, Sonya Fraser. Bob was so very proud of you both and loved you dearly. Also leaving to mourn are his precious grandchildren, Allie and Bridget Noseworthy, Noah and Matthew Fraser, as well as his loving sisters, Marguerite Locke (Hubert) and Marilyn Lewis.
Bob also leaves to mourn his extended family stepdaughters, Marlene Finn and Michelle Pennell (Greg); and his step-grandchildren, Joshua and Justin Finn; and their father Les Finn, and Keira Pennell. Brothers-in-law, Ted LeGrow (Laura) and Alan LeGrow; sisters-in-law, Dolores Joy (Albert) and Judi Valimaki; as well as nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends.
Bob will also be remembered for his formidable presence associated with the Wendys Restaurants, both on Kenmount Road and Torbay Road in St. John’s. He thoroughly enjoyed the business. He loved greeting his long-time regular customers and welcoming new ones, always there to ensure they received great service. He loved the daily flow and relished each and every moment he was able to be there in person. He was well respected among his peers as a fair, knowledgeable and capable businessman, not only with his own two stores, but within the Wendys Corporation.
He valued both his long-term staff, as well as the short-term staff. Some of his long-term staff have remained with him for years, which shows the respect he’d earned from his employees.
A special thank you to Jim Antle, Bob’s long-time manager and colleague. Your devotion and commitment to Bob speaks volumes about your integrity. Bob always valued your friendship.
Thank you to Chancellor Park Nursing Home for your compassion and care during Bob’s final hours. Your comfort meant so much during that difficult time.
As per Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

I’m sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I knew him from my early days of working with the Canadian Coca-Cola bottler network. Bob was dedicated to the soft drink business and helped it flourish in Newfoundland. My condolences to his family.

When we heard about Bob we were so sad! Bob lived next to us on Julieann place for a few years and we all thought the world of him, didn’t take long to figure out what a great guy he was, NL has lost a great one here!! RIP Bob, the Burkes……

We just finished watching Bob’s memorial service and would like to express sincere condolences to Susan, Andrew and Sonya and their families. Bob was always fun to be around. In my many conversations with him , when I asked if he was going to retire, he’d say “nah , I love to be busy and I enjoy my work. “He certainly had a life well lived! Rest in peace.

Susan and family, so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Blair and I came in contact with Bob in the early 90’s when we would go to Wendy’s with our two small girls and they would have a treat of a balloon from “ Wendy’s dad”. Then later on you guys moved to our street , twice!

Bob was one of the first people I met in NL, along with the Wendy’s group. He welcomed me with such kindness and immediately put me at ease. Bob was always friendly and fun and always made me laugh. Although my direct experiences with Bob were actually very few, his impact on me was meaniingful. He will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered.

I have many fond memories of his twinkling eyes whilst he shared a joke and sang a song. Bob was very personable and preferred to do business ‘face-to-face’ or over the telephone – never by email. Bob was a frequent visitor “next door” at City Tire for many years and we will greatly miss his spicy attitude and good natured personality. We are so very saddened by Bob’s sudden passing. We have known Bob for over 33 years. Keith was first an employee and then another Wendy’s franchisee. They have had a great relationship all these years. We loved spending time with him and Susan at all the Wendy’s functions., we always enjoyed their company. Bob was a great member of the wendys owners group for atlantic canada and he will be missed by all of us . We all valued his friendship and business mind. Rest well old friend.
My memories of Uncle Bob include walks by the river in east meadows with Sonya and eating gingerbread cookies and Uncle Bob pointing out our milk moustaches, him keeping his was easier than for us so he asked why we couldn’t keep ours… great trick to get us to drink more milk.
He taught me the difference in chips and french fries and I’ve never forgotten that conversation either. He had such a unique way of communicating, somehow he found a way to say my name with rhythm and rhyme. He could say so much in few words.
