Robert Carl Bursey

It is with great sadness the family of Robert (Bob) Carl Bursey wish to announce his peaceful passing Saturday, May 28, 2016 after a brief illness in his 66th year. Predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Ellen Bursey and brother John. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife of 48 years, Sharon (Summers), son David (Leann), daughter Jennifer (Paul) and love and joy of his life, grandsons Andrew and Ian. Brothers, Murl, Jim (Barb) and Gary (Laurie), sister in law Eileen; Bernice and Graham Carter, Arthur Summers and Betty Mills, David and Rita Summers and Doug and Hilda Summers. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and an extensive group of close friends and co-workers. We would like to extend special thanks to Dr.’s Corey Adams, Kevin Melvin, Mary O’Brien, John Tucker, Ian Marshall, Donald Fitzpatrick and Angela Pickles as well as the exceptional nursing staff at the CVICU and 5South A Units. We cannot fully express our gratitude for the care you provided to our wonderful husband and father. Visitation for family and friends to take place on Tuesday, May 31st from 10am to 9pm at Carnell’s Funeral Home on Freshwater Road. Funeral service to be held June 1st at 2pm from St. Mark’s Anglican Church Logy Bay Road. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Forest Road. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NL.
