Very sorry for your loss.
I have fond memories of Rod, Norm and Eddy and basketball at MUN in the early 70’s.
I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Rod’s passing. I worked with Rod at Memorial University. Rod had a calm demeanor and steady hand through all undertakings. Rory you were his world, I’m sure Rod would not be moving on if he was not confident that things are well in your world.
My thoughts are with your family as you mourn Rod’s passing. Im sure you will treasure your memories of such a wonderful man. I knew him to be reliable, kind, soft-spoken, and always curious… with a good crossover dribble and a soft jumper!
One memory that sticks in my head happened when we were travelling in a van to a weekend basketball tournament. Rod was reading some article and a teammate said, take a break Rod, relax it’s not rocket science! Then he looked at the title and it had something to do with kinetic theory, gas expansion and collision of molecules — we all laughed out loud… seemed like his thesis work could be related to rocket science! As always Rod calmly nodded, pressed on and played a strong supportive role on the team. I’m saddened by his passing . Rest in peace.
Like many others, I was shocked and saddened to learn of Rod’s passing.
It was my privilege to have worked with him for several years at MUN.
My sincere condolences to Rod’s Family and Friends. He will not be forgotten.
I was so sorry to hear this.very sad news. I hadn’t seen Rod in a long time, but I remember him well from Park Place, and from the occasions I used to bump into him around the university and Churchill Square. He was always kind.. Just a lovely man to talk with. He had a beautiful smile. And sometimes a mischievous glint in his eye.
Sending you all lots of love.

Heard this news with great sadness. It’s been a long time since I knew Rod, but it’s no trouble bringing to mind his delightful sense of humour and vibrant intelligence. He was a really good person, and a pleasure to be around; I’ll miss him being in this world.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Rod. I have fond memories of getting to know him at Park Place, and later years when he lived on Carpasian Rd, I lived in an apartment behind his. We used to bump into each other occasionally and I always enjoyed his kindness and sense of humor.
Lots of love to Rory, Jackie, Eddy, Isabel, Norm and other members of the Campbell clan. Please take care..
I am truly saddened to hear of Rod’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Rod at Memorial for many years and he was a genuinely good guy. He was knowledgeable, approachable, and always kind. He was also very witty and funny. There were a group of us, including Rod, who would get together on an occasional Friday night after work. We would share some laughs, swap a few stories, and if it was a birthday celebration – we would all write a birthday haiku for the person whose birthday it was. Rod wasn’t half bad at putting together a haiku!
To Rory and all of Rod’s family, please know that Rod will be missed and fondly remembered. My sincere sympathy to you all.
