It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one, Roma Pamela Meaney (nee Bryant) on July 12, 2025 at The Health Sciences Centre with her husband and son at her side.
Roma was predeceased by son Chad Lawrence (1985); her parents Dorothy and Reuben Bryant (Cavendish); sisters Daphne Osborne (Fred) (Cavendish), Millie Crane (Cavendish), Cynthia Fougere (Lower Sackville, NS); parents-in-law Lawrence and Alice Meaney (Stephenville).
She leaves behind with loving memories her husband of 45 years Lawrence and her beloved son Travis; her sisters Doris Cumby (Larry), Diane Hidgon (Walt), Beverley Bishop (Donny), Wendy Carew (Wally); sisters-in-law Carmelita Courtney (Dan) and Alicia Meaney; brothers-in-law Randell Crane, Gerald Fougere and Gary Meaney, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special Aunt Nellie Reid; special friends Judy March and Christina Darby.
Roma lived a full passionate life of love. She dedicated her work career with Campbells Ship Supplies Ltd. for 37 years where her work ethic was second to none as well as establishing lifelong friends.
Roma was a very gentle person with a calm and unassuming manner. She loved her family dearly and was always there when needed. She never missed a family or friend occasion or celebration.
She loved to read, watched her soap operas, walking, lunch dates with her friends and sisters. Travelling was a passion, gardening, watching her hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs especially) and Curling (with anyone who was curling especially the Brad Gushue Team). Roma is leaving behind many precious memories and a treasured legacy.
