In Loving Memory of Ronald Patrick Fleming (Age 82)
September 20, 1942 to November 23, 2024

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Ronald Patrick Fleming announce his peaceful passing, after a brief illness. He was 82 years old. Ron proudly served in the military for 28 years before transitioning to a second career as the owner and broker of a real estate company, a role he held for another 28 years.

Ron was an active member of several organizations, including the Royal Canadian Air Force Association (RCAFA) and the Lion’s Club, where he served as Treasurer and dedicated many years to volunteering in his community.

He was predeceased by his beloved son; Ken, his parents; Tom and Carmel Fleming, his sister; Barbara, his brothers; Robert and Terry, his brother-in-law; Larry Martin, and his sister-in-law; Yvonne Fleming.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years; Lorraine, daughter Kim (Chris Olenick), and grandson Alex. He is also lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law; Shelley Fleming, grandchildren; Michael Fleming, Ashley (Randy) Cloke, and great-grandchildren; Troy and Kendall Cloke. Ron is further survived by his sisters; Bernice Martin and Rosemary Kavanaugh, his brother; Brian Fleming, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Shirley Fleming, Nancy and Gerald Boyd, Marg and Charlie Rose, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public viewing or funeral. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and medical staff at the Health Sciences for their care and compassion during this time.

In donations of Ronald’s memory, they will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
