Cindy, Rhonda & Mrs. Elgar,
So sorry to hear of Mr. Elgar’s passing. I have such fond memories of him and your family growing up in Mount Pearl. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

On behalf of the Lynch family I would like to extend our sincere condolences on the passing of my good friend Ron Elgar. Ron was a constable with the CN police force while my dad Jim, was chief superintendent. My dad always told me that Ron was a vey good policeman, and was well respected. I worked at CN as well, and became very good friends with Ron. I am in Florida now with my brother Jim, and my sister Gertrude. Only a few hours ago I got a text from my brother Gerry telling me that Ron had passed away and is buried. So sorry we weren’t there to pay our respects. Again please accept our condolances.

Rhonda and Cindy, thinking of your dad brings back so many fond memories of our youth. I can see him sitting in his chair on Glendale Avenue with his bud Sandy sitting next to him. One of my cherished memories is of our camping trip to Butter Pot Park. He will always be with us in spirit.

Thinking of you,
Love Sharon

Family of Ron Elgar; So sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. My mother came from Harbour Deep many years ago, and when Ron was teaching at Pumbley Cove he spent many a weekend at our house in Westport. I enjoyed reading western comics at that time and Ron usually brought some when he came. We met many times over the years around Mount Pearl and I always enjoyed our chats. May he rest in peace.
