Obituary

Ronald Hector Robinson peacefully passed away at the Agnes Pratt Home, St. John’s on April 14, 2022, in his 82nd year.

Dad was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and he cherished his family. He will be sadly missed by his children Kathryn, Rob (Donna), Laureen and his loving grandchildren Matthew, David, Alia, Megan, Laura and Anna and by his children’s mother, Louise. Also fondly remembered by brothers Garry and Weldon (Leona), his nieces and nephews.

Dad began his career as a young RCMP officer in Newfoundland and went on to work at CBC in Corner Brook and then in Sudbury until retirement. His involvement in and love of sports was one of the highlights of dad’s life. Those who were fortunate to have met him were left with a feeling of gratitude; he was incredibly compassionate and kind to all he met.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Agnes Pratt Home for their kindness and love that was shown to our father during his four years there. The caring, compassionate way in which the staff touched our dad will never be forgotten. The respect and kindness shown to our family on dad’s last days was immeasurable. We are forever grateful.

Dad’s cremation has already taken place at Carnell’s Funeral Home and he will be laid to rest in Pembroke, On., next to his parents at a later date.

We would like to thank all of those who have sent their condolences and messages to our family and we invite those who wish to sign the virtual guestbook to do so.

Our dad was the finest, most thoughtful person you could ever meet. His constant smile, his contagious laughter will remain in our hearts forever. Dad is now at peace, but the lives he touched on his journey, will keep his memory alive forever.
