Dianne Lambert

It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosiland “Dianne” Lambert (nee Rogers) age 79. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt.

Dianne passed away Friday, May 27 at the Palliative Care Unit in Carbonear surrounded by loving family.

Dianne was predeceased by her father Alexander (Eric) Rogers, mother Eleanor (Nellie) (nee Roberts) Rogers; brother David Rogers; sisters Mildred Mayo, Sandra Hakuli and Frances Lambert; father-in-law George Lambert, mother-in-law Amelia (Millie) nee Roberts Lambert; brothers-in-law Mac Lambert, Edgar Adams and Graham Chubbs; nephew Lewis Mayo and niece Jill Lambert.

Leaving to mourn her loving husband of almost 57 years Robert (Bob) Lambert; daughter Cassandra (Jeff) Janes; sons Mark (Tracy), Rick (Dana) and Wade (Allie); grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Travis, Meghan, Nick, Breton, and Blair; brother Robert (Bob) Rogers; sister Gayle Rogers; sisters-in-law Ruth Adams and Eleanor Chubbs; brother-in-law Ches (Lorraine) Lambert, and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit in Carbonear Hospital for the excellent care given to Dianne for the short period of time that she was there, also special thanks to Dr. Neveu, Dr. Power and all the nurses in the chemo center of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre for such good care over the last few years. A special shout out to Don and Lynn Tucker, Jack and Jean Whelan and Jeff and Louise Roach mom’s and dad’s neighbors for looking out for both of them and for just being there to lend their support and help.

Cremation has taken place.  Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday June 2, from 10am-12pm, 2-4 and 7-9pm.  Funeral to take place later in July.

Flowers gratefully excepted or donations can be made in Dianne’s memory to the Janeway Hospital, Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre or to a charity of one’s choosing.
