Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Monday, August 19, 2024 after a long and happy life.
Predeceased by first husband, Alexander Pottle; and second husband, Augustus Greening. Mom was also predeceased by her only sibling, Margaret, her sister.
Left to mourn five children John (Madge), Gloria (Keith), Barbara (Willis), Terry (Sheila), and Lisa (Robert), eight grandchildren Tracey (Rod), Troy (Huberta), Janice (Gwen), Susan (Simon), Ashley (Brad), April, Jenna, and Victoria, as well as six great grandchildren, Peyton, Jasper, Devon, Brie, Jacob, and Alex.
Mom was a determined, strong-willed person who overcame many health challenges in the past few years until a fall in February, just three days before her 99th birthday. She amazed us all.
Mom enjoyed ten years at Cambridge Estates and has many fond memories of her time there. They were her Cambridge family.
The family will be accepting visitors at Carnell’s at 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday August 23 from 2-4 and 7-9. There will be a funeral service in the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 24 at 11am, with interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Please note that Carnell’s Funeral Home is a nut free building, due to a staff member with a severe allergy. Thank you for your cooperation.
