Hello Trudy,

I’m so sorry to read about the passing of your dear sister Ruth and I’d like to offer my condolences. It’s been many years since the days of those Sarah Coventry home jewelry parties but I think of you often and I hope life is as rich and rewarding for you now as it was then.

Sincerely,

Bonnie Andrews (Bonnie Lou)

Rick and family,
So sorry for your loss. God bless.

Ruth was an icon with Beta Sigma Phi. I joined in 1966 and Ruth, Trudy and Joyce (the three sisters) were Chairpersons of the 1977 Convention in St. John’s, NL. The Committees were very well organized. There was lots of singing (they had great voices) The skits were excellent as well as the food and Entertainment, and hospitality. So many sisters came together from all over Newfoundland and Canada and the United States. Included in the guests was our International Chairwoman from Beta Sigma Phi, Kansas City, USA. It was a Convention that in my estimation went unsurpassed with Ruth at the helm. She loved Beta Sigma Phi and gave her all to it.

Our condolences especially to her children and to Trudy for whom we will say special prayers.

“I am thy sister” in Beta Sigma Phi.

With prayers, condolences and love.
Sincerely from your sisters in
Laureate Beta Chapter,
Per Carol Roe

Dear Joanne, Rick and families. We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Ruth’s passing. She was always such a warm and gentle person and her smile was always so genuine. We are currently out of town so are unable to pass on our condolences in person but send our love to you all and hope that the wonderful memories you must have will help you through this difficult time.

Joanne, Rick and family,
Ruth was a treasured member of Newfound Sound Chorus and part of the founding group dating back to 1985. She loved the singing and friendship of our organization. Ruth loved to perform in a concert, a competition or a skit. She was “all in”. Ruth supported our chorus in many ways, especially well known as our historian, photographer and newsletter editor. She even wrote a song for our chorus. Ruth was the essence of why we love to sing. May she rest in peace and take her place on the risers with her harmony singing sisters in heaven, preferably in the front row!
In sympathy,
Anna T, Newfound Sound
