Samuel Matthew Lannon Jr.

With great sadness the family of the late Samuel Matthew Lannon (Jr.) announce his passing at the HSC on Monday February 24, 2025.

Sam was born on April 4, 1953 in Buchans, Newfoundland to his beloved parents Vera and Samuel Lannon.

Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Memorial University in 1975 – 1976. He was the principal at Saint Anne’s School in Fortune Harbour for a number of years.

Sam met the love of his life, Elizabeth Crocker and relocated to St. John’s, he worked a security guard with various companies to conclude his career. They settled in Mount Pearl and had the joy of their lives, Charmaine.

Sam is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, parents Sam and Vera Lannon, sisters Frances and Vera and sister-in-law Heather Lannon.

Sam leaves to mourn his precious daughter Sharmaine; sisters Marion, (Alvin), Anne-Marie, and Christine (Gary); brothers Gerard, (Jenny), Matt (Myra), Pat (Diane), and Ray; and a large circle of family, friends, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 27 at 10:00 AM.
