Passed peacefully away at home on Sunday, December 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, Sandra Grace Sharpe, nee Squires, of Paradise, aged 82 years.
Predeceased by her son Thomas Anthony Sharpe; parents Eli and Emily (Frances) Squires; sisters Lydia Lannom, Leifa Thorne and Desma Dowden (Max); brothers Max Squires, Tony Squires, Melvin Squires, Wendell Squires (Helen) and Richard Squires; and parents-in-law Lucy and Archibald Sharpe.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories husband of 64 years Thomas Winston Sharpe; daughters Beverly Sharpe, Sandra Sharpe (Wayne Percy and family), Denise Brophy (Gary); grandchildren Chad Brophy, Michael Brophy (Brittney), Adam Brophy (Sharon), Garrett Brophy (Danielle); great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Blake, and Chase Brophy; twin sister Rosemary Drover (Wilfred – deceased); sisters Rosalind Davis (Dave) and Patsy Lawlor (Gerald); brother Eli Squires (Madeline – deceased); brother in-law Brian Thorne; sisters in-law Shirley Squires, Judy Squires, Nora Squires and Cynthia Squires; as well as a very large circle of friends and family.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, December 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 19 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the service.

Her kindhearted personality was sewn into the fabric of our family and threaded through her many heartfelt friendships.

I was so surprised to hear of Sandra’s passing, my heart goes out to each of you. I can remember her from such a young age while I was growing up, she was such a lovely and kind woman.

Then met for several lunches after until Covid.
I was honoured to share those moments with Sandra.

My sincere condolences to Sandra’s family. I met Sandra through Ocean View Quilt Guild. She was always so pleasant and so helpful and willing to share her quilting knowledge and skills. She invited me to her house one time to help me with a problem I was having with a particular quilt block and she was so patient with me. I know she will be missed by many.
