Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, surrounded by her loving family Selena Coombs aged 92 years. Born on January 19th, 1929, she was predeceased by her husband Josiah, son Don, parents Charles and Pearl Hann, siblings Rose, John, Edwin, Arthur and Cyril and daughter-in-law Sharon.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Marie (Ches), Eddie (Kitty), Max (Elizabeth), Randy (Bernice), Lorna (Gord), Bobby (Mabs), daughter-in-law Patsy, grandchildren Dean (Mena),  Tracy (Burt), Chesley (Mary), Karen (Deon), Ed (Paulette), Ronnie (Paula), Lisa (Kristian), Michael (Nancy), Sandy (Brian), Ricky (Angela), Brenda (Gerry), Keith (Carla), Kayla (Nick), Ryan, Kerilynn (Ryan), Justin (Katelynn), 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as numerous other family and friends.

The love that she had for her family was beyond any measure. She would spend her last days listing their names and asking for her message to be passed to them – “I love you all, every one of you, I love you all”. We will forever cherish the love we shared and the memories we have.

Mom’s life was made full by caring for others. She especially loved to bake and cook for all of us – making sure nobody left her house with an empty belly. Her last few years were the hardest after losing her sight but she never missed a day without having a visit from her family.

You are home now with the angels and we will miss you dearly.

Special thanks to the staff of second floor at St Patrick’s Mercy Home for their care and kindness.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a funeral service held from the Carnell Memorial Carnell Chapel for immediate family. For those who cannot attend, the service will be livestreamed.

Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
