While I was very saddened to hear of Aunt Sheila’s passing, my memories of her, Uncle. Cam and playing with Brian Eileen nd Leslie at 29 Long.Pond and in Southern Bay are some of my fondest Aunt Sheila was one.of a kind.
Eileen , Brian, Lesley , and familes . So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing . Our mothers were very good friends doing their Altar Guild duty at church and with their volunteer work with the Canadian Red Cross .. Not to forget their nightly calls at 7pm after mom moved into Mount Pearl with Tom and I . They were certainly great “chatters “together! Lots of good memories to look back on ! Our sincere condolences to you all .!
Sending sincere condolences to Eileen, Brian, Lesley and their families on the passing of their dear mother, Sheila. I remember her both as a dear friend of my mother ( Clara Clarke) and Eileen’s mother from our school days. May all your wonderful memories give you comfort at this sad time. Thinking of you all.
Lesley
Sorry to read of your mother’s passing. What a wonderful life she had . I remember your parents welcoming the neighbourhood gang to your home on a regular basis. I. often chatted with them both while visiting the ‘square’ or St. Augustine’s. All these memories!

My husband, John, met Sheila on a newspaper route he did as a favour for one of the kids in the neighborhood who went on vacation. John’s father died when he was a baby and the relationship he had with his mother was legendary. He had a soft spot for older ladies as a result. He would bring Sheila British newspapers and took her once for a ride in his Rolls Royce. Every year after they met he would bring her flowers on Mother’s Day.
Brian, Eileen, Lesley and families,
I’ve been trying to come up with one special memory of Auntie Sheila and realized there are too many to pick one. So I will keep all of them in my heart. She was one special lady and for that she will always be remembered. My love to all..
Eileen, Lesley , Brian and your families, I offer my sincere condolences as you honour your Mother’s life, fondly, Jane

I can’t help but smile when I think of Auntie Sheila. Lots of wonderful memories gathered from visits over the years and from living with Uncle Cam and Auntie Sheila when I worked at CBC. She was very special to all of us. Thinking of you all at this time.

To Eileen, Lesley, Brian and family
It was with profound sadness to learn about Aunty Sheila’s passing. I have fond memories of a 10-year-old in 1974 visiting St Johns with my mother and staying at the house on Long Pond Rd. Sheila was kind and patient with me, and I remember how Cam and she were a wonderful couple when I saw them as I grew up and they visited my parents in Alexandria Ontario, and we visited at Eileen and Bob’s house in Ottawa.
My deepest sympathies and condolences on your loss of the last of a great generation
