Susanna Finn

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susanna Finn, a strong, brave, and resilient woman who faced life’s challenges with courage and unwavering love, Susanna passed away peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by her four daughters, her husband, grandson, brother, and sisters. From a young age, Susanna carried a spirit of selflessness. She raised her own brothers and sisters before becoming a devoted mother to her four beautiful daughters, who were her greatest pride and joy. Every choice she made was for the betterment of those she loved. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, always going above and beyond to protect, provide for, and nurture her family. Susanna’s love extended beyond her daughters to her grandchildren and her great-grandson, all of whom she adored deeply. Known for her steadfast determination, quick wit, and sharp sense of humour, she never hesitated to speak her mind and tell it like it was. Her final words, “I’m going home. I’m finally free” embody the peace she found at the end of her remarkable journey. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at the Health Sciences Centre, with special thanks to her nurse Nicole, whose care and compassion brought comfort to Susanna and her family in her final days. Susanna leaves behind not only a legacy of strength, resilience, and unconditional love, but also a legacy of family. She stood for family and embodied what it truly means to be family, instilling those values deeply into her four daughters. Her love, devotion, and example will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Donations in memory of Susanna can be made to the Canadian Lung Association, or to a local food bank to support a cause close to her heart.

Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd., From 10 a.m.- 1p.m on Wednesday September 10^th, with a service to follow in The Carnell Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m.
