It is with great sadness that the family of Ursula Young announces her sudden and peaceful passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on October 9th 2024 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her family in Germany. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her children Patricia Morey (Kenny), Dianne Dwyer (Mike), and Scott Young (Coralie); grandchildren David Young (Lisa), Theresa Morey, Christine Morey, Micheal Dwyer, Nicole Dwyer (Josh Holbrow), Meghan Dwyer, Jakob Young, and Dylan Young; great grandchildren David Young, Amber Young, and Nevaeh Dwyer; great great grandchildren Mia Young and Khloe Young and special friends Mary Porter, and Faye Stone.
Ursula was a wonderful, strong and determined woman, with deep religious beliefs. She had a love for gardening and flowers and was able to enjoy the grounds of Chancellor Park up until her passing. She also had a special love for animals and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA in her honor.
Deep thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Chancellor Park for the care given to Mrs. Young while she resided there.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a service in her memory held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 12th , 2024 at 9:30 a.m.

My condolences to Ursulas family…I attended Tops with her years ago…a lovely lady to have a chat with.
So very sorry to hear of Ursula’s passing.. She was a kind soul and my son always looked forward to seeing her. She was a very good friend of my mother, Mary Porter and she will be dearly missed. May she rest peacefully in God’s loving arms. Sending condolences to her family.
