Obituary
Arthur Patrick Stapleton, age 81, passed peacefully away on January 29, 2021 at Pleasant View Towers after a courageous battle with cancer.
A husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that has lived well, laughed often and loved much. Who respected and appreciated the people around him, who found the best in others and gave the best he had.
He was born on May 27, 1939 of the late Thomas and Winnifred (nee Duff) Stapleton. Predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth (Ray), and brother Peter.
Leaving to mourn his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen; his daughters Glenda and Teresita (Chris Butler); his sons Randy (Sandra), Phil (Sherry) and Art; 11 grandchildren: Teresita (Keith), Michelle (Andrew), Bradley (Jennifer), Melissa (Brad), Meghan (Johnny), Sarah (William), Stacey (Jonathan), Justin, Nicholas, Brady and Jessica; and 7 great-grandchildren: Ryder, Abby Lynn, Kaycee, Emerson, Isaac, Owen and Anderson; brothers George (Delores) and Tom (Judy); sister-in-law Eleanor and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thank-you to the staff of Pleasant View Towers, 2NW. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
He will always be with us. He has left an indelible imprint of endless love.
A private funeral service has been planned. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, February 2nd from 2-9pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery. COVID-19 regulations apply.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
