COVID-19 Statement

Carnell’s Funeral Home Ltd. continues to receive updates from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that we keep our staff, our client families, and the general public safe, we will be limiting public access to our facilities. We have digitized our required paperwork and if requested, can conduct arrangement conferences through telephone and email. A complete list of our products and services can be found on our website for reference.

Out of an abundance of caution, Carnell’s Funeral Home will continue to operate at 50% capacity (25 people per visitation room at one time and 80 guests, including staff and the officiant, for chapel services). All guests attending public visitations must be fully vaccinated and will be required to show proof upon entry. For those unvaccinated, a private viewing can be arranged.

Please refer to the following Government of NL link for further details:

The safety of our staff, our client families, and the general public, continues to be our top priority. We thank you for your continued support and understanding through these difficult times.

At Carnell’s Funeral Home we understand the importance that family values, rituals, customs and cultural or religious preferences have on determining how we celebrate and honor the lives of our deceased loved ones. We also understand the significant costs and financial burden many families face when a loved one dies. That is why we believe our new booklets, Important Facts About Funerals and Finances and Important Facts About Cremation and Costs will be valuable resources for you and your family.
