Obituary

Passed away on April 3rd, 2024, Phyllis Noseworthy.

Predeceased by husband Lloyd Noseworthy; parents Willis and Sarah Howell; sisters Myra Vaters, Mabel Burton, Pearl Oakley; brothers George Howell, and Willis Howell.

Leaving to mourn daughters Janice (Terry MacDonald), Beverley (Clayton Upshall); and son Stephen (Michelle); grandchildren Scott Pelley (Kim Murphy), Chad Pelley (Sharleen Simmons), Joel Upshall, Ryan Upshall, Stephen Noseworthy Jr (Shawna), Kayla Baker (Doug), Marlo MacDonald (Geoff Stone), Ashley MacDonald; great grandchildren Jackson Pelley, Carter Pelley, Kalem Stone, Amminison Stone, Riley Baker, Daniel Baker, Wesley Noseworthy, and Madeline Noseworthy; sister Ruby Garland (Carbonear), sister in law Eileen Howell (Carbonear), sister in law Carol Noseworthy (Ottawa), sister in law Ruth Noseworthy (Paradise), brother in law Alfred Graham (BC); along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on May 7th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue, at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.

No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

So sorry to hear of Phyllis’ passing – I have very fond memories of her from my childhood and teen years at St. John’s Citadel.. She was someone that I looked up to and enjoyed being around. Condolences to the family

Many memories flooded back of Phyllis.She stayed at our family home,sang with my mother,& greeted me lovingly whenever I visited with your Aunt Donna .In later years we sang in the Salvation Army Citadel Songsters,reminisced together about so many happy memories.I will treasure her interest&kindness in whatever was happening in my life.May God comfort you,her precious family& bring to your memory,what will be of help in your time of grief. Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I have fond memories of her as a great neighbour both in the city and the country. She was a lovely lady, and a lot of fun. Thinking of you all as you celebrate her life.
