The family regrets to announce the passing of Judy Parsons, on April 10, 2024.
Predeceased by her mother (Margaret Hawkins), father (Patrick Hawkins), and brother William O’Neill.
Leaving to mourn her husband (William Sr.); and son William Jr. (Melanie); her grandchildren Gideon and Ruby, whom she adored; brothers Sylvester Hawkins (Marie), Hilary O’Neill (Charlotte); sisters in law Nellie O’Neill, and Cheryl LeBlanc (Bert); brothers in law Clayton Parsons (Cathy), Barry Parsons (Penny); special long time friends Mary and Don Carew, special friends Rose Hynes, Diane Williams; Kyle and Kendra Snow (who were like her own grandchildren); as well as several nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
The family will be accepting visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, at 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, April 15, from 2-9 pm, as well as on Tuesday, April 16, from 2-9 pm. A funeral service for Judy will be happening in the Carnell Memorial Chapel, on Wednesday, April 17 at 2 pm. Please see the link above to watch the live stream.
In lieu of flowers, one may make a donation to the Diabetes Association.
Please note that Carnell’s is a nut free facility, due to a staff member with a severe allergy. Thank you for your cooperation.

I’m so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing, my deepest condolences to Bill, Billy, & the whole family. I remembering “stopping in for a visit” with my parents so very often growing up. It was always a great time & lasted much longer than it was ever supposed to be! Judy will be missed dearly, she had a heart of gold & a beautiful smile.. Cherish all the fond and unforgettable memories and moments you shared together. ❤️

To Bill and family I am so sad to hear of Judy’s passing. She was one of my best friends up through school and high school. We were only 14 and in Grade 9 when her mom passed away. She was so good to her mom while she was sick and so strong after she died. On reflection I now realize how amazing this actually was for a young teenager. I am in Ontario and won’t be able to attend the wake or funeral but I will certainly be thinking of you all. RIP Judy.
