Donna, Andrew and family, absolutely heartbroken to hear of Peter’s sudden passing. I have known Peter for almost 30 years having met through work. We shared an incredible work adventure while teaching at the community college in GFW. I can honestly say that that I would not have the same fond memories of that time if not for Peter. Our paths continued to cross over the ensuing years whether through work or at the Works. A huge loss but please find comfort in your memories of good times shared. Rest easy Peter.

My sincere condolences to the Ivany family, relatives and close friends. I have fond memories of Peter and the other kids from “Symond’s Cove” playing spotlight at night and sneaking into Reverend Ayers little forest to climb the trees. I will always cherish those moments. Sending many thoughts and prayers your way.

Andrew, Donna and family, I am in absolute shock to hear about Peter, he was such a friendly, sincere, great guy. He and I had many great chats on the sidelines at basketball games. My sincere condolences to you all.

My sincere condolences.
I worked with Peter at the CLD, he was my friend.
At times like this, words just don’t do justice but I need to let you know, Andrew, that your Dad thought the world of you.
He spoke of you all the time and his love for you was evident on his face and in his eyes whenever he mentioned you.
He also knew that you loved him too.
He was a man of integrity who cared about those around him and he helped many people, on many levels.
Your dad was a man you can be proud of Andrew; one you can look back on in years to come for wisdom and guidance.
I am so sorry that you didn’t have more time with him; cherish the memories that you do have and know, you were loved.

Love and Friends,

Donna and Andrew. In many ways though we haven’t had contact in the last few years it seems like yesterday when Peter came to work with our HR unit on contract to teach computer skills to Tourism staff.. A lot of work contact after that of course…he was not only a coworker but we were often allies, a friend with whom I saw eye to eye; though one with whom I could have respectful disagreements, always working to the same end goal. Peter was a solutions guy and had the respect of many many people at all levels in the provincial public service. On a personal front there were times in the gym as the boys played high school basketball. He was a genuine human being and is sorely missed. Sincere condolences from Sharon, Evan and me.
