Obituary

Sherry Dianne Taylor (nee Squires) passed away on July 18, 2022 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s after a brave battle with cancer.  Sherry was born in Paradise NL on December 21, 1956.

She is predeceased by her parents Corbett and Irene Squires, husband Bruce Tilley, mother-in-law Eileen Taylor and brother-in-law Garry.

 

Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Ralph, children, Tracy (David), Rick (Melissa), Michael (Debbie), Terry, Bradley and Robin (Jade), grandchildren Jessica (Justin), Cameron, Logan, Abby, Curtis, Jorja and Zachary, great grandchildren Liam, Owen and Joshua, sisters Fay Rideout (Terry) and Paulette Gregory (Corey) and families, father-in-law Ralph and brothers- and sisters-in-law Annie (Bill) , Billy, Bev (Bob), Daphne (Harold), Brian (Evelyn) and Robert (Michelle).  Also remembered with love special friends Marilyn Delaney, Sandi and Randy Reid, Brenda Skanes, and Ros Kelly, and a wide circle of friends and coworkers.

 

A personal care worker with a love of her residents and her job, Sherry loved crafting and attending craft fairs, a game of cards, and spending time with her loved ones.  She always thought of others before herself.

 

Visitation will be on July 21-22 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm each day, with no service at this time.  In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Autism Society, a cause dear to her heart.

Ralph I was so sorry to read of Sherry’s passing

I am so sorry to hear of Sherrys passing. We went to PCA school together and she took care of my grandmother when she was in long term care. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Condolences to Fay and all of the Squires family. I knew Sherry well in her teen years when she used to. go to Pouch Cove to see her cousin Jill Hudson.
Unfortunately I cannot get to.the visitation. But on a brighter note. I’m playing for a fundraiser for Autism in Hearts delight on Ssturday. I understand Autism was near to her heart.

I had the pleasure of working with Sherry at HEC & PVT. Always enjoyed working with her and having a little chat at work and seeing her at all the craft fairs. She will be greatly missed. Sending along me deepest condolences to her family at this sad time.

Sherry was a truly gracious person who put all others above herself. She was always there to lend a hand or even an ear, and was always up for a challenge ,especially trying to teach this one how to loom a pair of slippers. A great friend, coworker, and all around beautiful soul. She will truly be missed by all and I will always treasure the many wonderful memories. Till we meet again my friend. Sherry was a kind, dedicated and understanding caregiver both to her patients and to their families. I felt my husband was well-looked after in her care. She was cheerful and considerate and a joy to speak with. I am so sorry for the loss of such a gracious lady. My sympathy to all her family on her passing. May she rest in peace.
