Obituary
Surrounded by love, Lorraine Marie Squires, aged 69 years, passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Science Center on August 25th, 2022.
Pre-deceased by parents Eileen and Paul Whelan; brothers, Paul, Gerard, Leo, Pat, Tom, Jim, Len, Loyola and sister Mary (Bert).
Leaving to mourn her love of 21 years, Mike Miller; son, Tim (Mandy); daughter, Fallon (Chad); grandchildren, Brooklyn, Skyla and Kira; grand fur-babies, Clarkie, Titus and Titan; brother, John (Lorraine); sister, Linda; special nephew, Paul (Mary and Faith); special niece, Brenda (Ian, Holly, and Tyler); sisters-in-law; Florence and Kay; as well as many important nieces, nephews and family members; special friends Randy Squires (Christine), John Barbosa and Brian Lawlor.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on August 28th and 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 9:30am at the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in Lorraine’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this hard time.
She is greatly missed.

Dear Timmy and Fally,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write to each of you. Our dear sweet sweet Lorraine I loved here very much. As a child she would visit our home many times. She was so kind to my Mom Anne Lawlor St. Thomas and me. Yo say I loved and adored Lorraine is an understatement. She was very much a part of my childhood and teenage years into adulthood. The beautiful dresses she’d have you dressed in Fally, just like a princess. I don’t know if you remember me but I remember you and Timmy very much. So very sorry to the family for their loss, Lorraine was such a beautiful lady , always had a smile and a big heart. We have so many memories of her on the ridge in the summertime at nanny whelans , she was one of the best . She will be missed and fondly remembered. Thinking of you all , big hugs xo

So sorry to hear of the passing of Lorraine. She had such a huge heart and loved all her family so deeply. You were lucky to have her, and she was so lucky to have all of you. I can only imagine the heartbreak you are facing. She was one of the kindest women I have ever met. May she Rest In Peace.

I cannot imagine your pain and heartbreak at the loss of your beautiful mother. You were very blessed in that, you told each other often, of your love for each other. Timmy you were very proud of your mother and spoke lovingly of her every time we spoke. Lorraine, you managed to accomplish what so many people wish for. Your children adored you. You had a great friendship with them and a lovely smile that comforted them. I know Tim much better than Fallon. I can recall many many stories from Tim about his mom, the best Mom in the world. He would finish every story with ” God love her, I loves her I do ” I know without doubt that you will live on lovingly in Tim and Fallons heart.
Tim, you know how much that I care for you. I am devastated at your loss and your pain. How wonderful that you and your Mom shared so much love and wonderful memories with each other. The memories that you have of your Mom, are her gifts to you. At anytime you can close your eyes, and relive the magical moments that was yours and hers alone. Lorraine, may you rest in eternal piece, knowing that the best of you is still here, with Tim and Fallon Thank you heavenly Father for giving your angel, Lorraine, to her son, daughter and family, to teach them about unconditional love. May your memories of her smiling face and gentle ways, always make you smile with love and peace. Bless you Tim Fallon and all the family. It is so much more difficult when the loss is unexpected. May you help each other in your grief. May you find strength from the love of your family members and your from your Mother, always, from your Mother. She will always be there watching over you

Sincerest condolences to Mike, Tim, Fallon and your families. Lorraine was the sweetest, most genuine and caring person to so many people. I have such fond memories of her over the years. As kids, she welcomed us all with warm hugs and whatever she had in the fridge! You could not leave the house without eating (and drinking a few pepsi). Whenever I ran into her these past few years, she was as gracious as I always remembered and her kindness remained unchanged. She was such a wonderful cousin to Mom and we all loved her. My Aunt Lorraine was a very special person and I will miss her dearly. Life sometimes seems so unfair and I definitely feel this way for her. But I guess God has a plan for everyone but I believe hers was way to early too leave us. She touched so many of our lives in special ways she was kind, generous, caring, loving, thoughtful and loved all of her family. I will miss going out to suppers with her, getting together for special occasions and all the constant asking she did to get you to have something to eat or drink at her house. My Aunt was one of the best. No one else came close. So, to lose her is just gut wrenching. The hole she leaves behind in so many lives will never be filled, she was just that special and my favorite Aunt. I have so many fond memories of her while growing up. She always made you feel so loved and special. She cared so much, and family was everything to her.
She was my true angel guardian. She was always there to help anyone who came to her to ask for help. She touched so many lives and if you were lucky enough to have met her you were very blessed to have met such and loving, caring, and compassionate being.
She was a wonderful woman, and her love will always be alive in my heart and memories. I will miss her terribly and I’m so sad I wasn’t able to be home to say my last goodbye and tell her how much she meant to me. But somehow, I think she always knew how I felt about her. My deepest condolences and prayers to all the family and her friends. God gained a beautiful angel today.
I am so sorry for your loss. Lorraine was always so good to us whenever we came home to NL. I will always remember being at her and Mike’s house for dinner after going to Bell Island. She welcomed Chris and I with open arms and a beautiful smile. She will be missed. Tim, Fallon, Mike, Randy, Christine, and Johnny are in my thoughts and prayers.
