Merrill Moores

Obituary

Passed peacefully away in his 82nd year, Merrill Moores. Left with fond memories are his daughter Debora (Brian), sons Dean (Charlene) and David (Hilda), his grandsons Evan and Patrick, his brother Roy (Doris), sister Marilyn (Ed) and a wide circle of other family members and friends. Predeceased by his mother Lila, father Gordon and brother Henley. Merrill was a strong, loyal, fiercely independent, and free spirited man whose dry humour and wit charmed everyone who met him. His varied work life brought him down many paths and left him with many rich life experiences. Merrill had a true zest for life and always looked on the bright side. He cherished time with family, appreciated and could tell a good story, loved cars and animals, and was known to enjoy a scattered sweet or ice cream. He will be forever missed, but will live forever in our daily lives, reflections and memories.

Cremation has taken place; with a celebration of life visitation with the family to take place on Saturday, July 22nd from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Carnell’s Funeral Home, Freshwater Road.

“And now the end is here
And so I face that final curtain
My friend I’ll make it clear…
I’ve lived a life that’s full
I travelled each and every highway
And more, much more, I did it my way.”
(From “My Way” by Frank Sinatra)
