Passed peacefully away on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Adonzel (Donza) Kate English (nee Joyce) aged 75 years. Predeceased by her parents William and Ruth (Steele) Joyce, sisters Patricia Sowdon, and Judith Kavanagh. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her husband Hubert, son Tony (Sharon), and daughter Ruthanne (Gary). Also grieving her loss are her brother Fred (Sharon), brother in-law John Kavanagh, sister in-law Joan Holloway (Roger), sister in-law Laura English (Detlef Petley), sister in-law Agnes English, sister in-law Helen Benway, brother in-law Richard English (Valerie), cousin Linda Boone (Dave), lifelong friends Sally Lefeuvre and Marion Parsons, close friends Ray Naqvi and Evelyn Baird. Fondly remembered by Kim Horwood, Karen Pepper, Kelly Pike, and their families, as well as a large circle of cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and their families. Special thanks to Debby Kavanagh for her assistance and expertise with Donza’s medical issues, and to the doctors and nurses of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care and compassion they provided to Donza and her family during this difficult time. Donza will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and compassionate person with a love of family, friends, animals, and the beauty of life. She will be profoundly missed. Cremation has already taken place, a private family interment to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to Cochrane Street United Church or Dr. L.A. Miller Center Palliative care unit.
