Obituary
Passed peacefully in the presence of loved ones at HSC on May 20, 2017 Tony Gosine, age 90. Predeceased by wife Nina, infant daughter Eileen, parents, siblings & other family members. Leaving to mourn daughter Christine (Charlie) Harris, son Ron Gosine and daughter Mimi (Tony) Willcott, with whom he resided with for the last 10 years, enjoying card games and the company of family and friends. Grandchildren Tony (Molly) Harris, Jennifer (Dean) Kearney, Joanne (Doug) Abbott, Ron Gladney, Steven Gosine (Nicole Kelloway), Jenelle Gosine (Donald Griffin) & Jillian Willcott, Mom’s Pop to Teagan Kearney and Pop-Pop to Raya & Christopher Abbott. Sisters Gitta Penney (Randal deceased), Rosemarie Hoffman (Al deceased), brother Ray Gosine (Teresa), sister & brother-in-law & life-long friends Wilhelmina & Wilfred Miller, sister-in-laws Violet Hussey & Sheila Gosine, daughter-in-law Sharon Harris, numerous nieces, nephews and card buddies. Special thanks to the staff at HSC, Dr. Sean Connors, Dr. William Grant, Ron Pomeroy & staff at Lawton’s Drugs, caregiver Mary Hapgood who bought so much love and laughter to Dad. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday May 22 and Tuesday 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday May 24 from 10-1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday May 24,2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Parish with cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Thursday May 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Portugal Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony’s memory may be made to Children’s Wish or Charity of one’s choice.
