Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on July 7, 2021, Helen Marie Lamar, aged 85 years.
Predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary O’Leary; and brother Peter O’Leary.
Leaving to mourn children Jeanie Lamar, Robert Lamar (Bonita Whiffen) and Rhonda Dyer Greeley (Glenn Greeley); grandchildren Christopher, Keir and Kyle; siblings Basil (Iris), Ed, Joan, Paul (Teresa), Brian, Roger (Sharon), Rosalind and Sharon (Keith), as well as other family members and friends.
Special thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, July 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 12 at 1 p.m. with internment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

As I opened the Carnell’s website, I recognized Helen as soon as I saw her without even seeing the name. To me, she looks the same from when I was younger living on Hip ditch Hill, Top Battery. My sincerest condolences to all family members

Really sad news. I worked with Helen from 1986 to 1992 at the University Cafeteria. What a wonderful kind big hearted lady. So much fun to be around also. Heaven just got another angel.
