Ingrid and Family, very sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I saw her for the first time in many years about two weeks ago at a function at Tiffany. She was clever and in good spirits, a pleasure to chat with. It is sad to know she is gone.

Pete and Linda, Ingrid, John and families. Although I have mostly lived in Ontario the latter years, I have fond memories of Ingrid and her kindness when the children were small. while working at an H1N1 clinic a while ago, I was glad to meet John’s wife and children and I passed along my regards to you all at that time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Take comfort in your fond memories and each other.
Respectfully Olive and family.

Absolutely no words, I’m shocked to hear the news. Myself and Sandra were glad to see her a few nights ago in the hospital when we heard she wasn’t feeling well… She was a remarkable, kind, generous soul, I was privileged to have known her a short while. It was a pleasure to help and assist her in whatever she needed assistance with when she was at the home. We so much enjoyed her company and listening to her stories and tales about her kids and trips. I always called you Mr Curtis, Ingrid, Linda, and John..there are no words. .I’m glad to have the pleasure to have met you. .your mom was out of this world..a sweet, strong, loving woman that could put a smile on your face if you happen to be in her company. My thoughts and prayers are with you all..deepest sympathy. ..

Our hearts are heavy as we share in the loss of a wonderful woman. A woman who was a mother-figure to us, who showed our family so much kindness and compassion in our most trying times. It was her way to give, to show strength to others at her own expense, and who knew the value of a good sense of humour. So often, Mrs. Curtis gave us the will to go forward when we didn’t think we could; you gave us hope, comfort, and your love. We will remember her for the fine woman she was to us all.

I’m running through a life time of events our family’s shared. Remembering all the moments spent sitting on the floor at your Moms feet, chatting with her, elicits a smile. She was truly interested in listening to what was happening in your life. She cared. It was always a joy to see her walk through the door… It was a feeling of ‘now the party has started’. She was, and will forever be, a darling soul. My condolences to you all. RIP beautiful lady. xo

Linda and Family,

I was sorry to learn of your Mom’s death. Having lost my Mom only a few months ago I completely understand the loss you are feeling. I hope it brings you some small measure of comfort to know that so many people are thinking of you at this difficult time. Surely, the very best of your Mom lives on in her children and grandchildren. May she rest in peace.

They say that the value of a life lies in those who are left behind, and the example that has been set for them. If that is the case, Mrs. Curtis led a life that impacted many. Our entire family was impacted by the goodness of the entire Curtis family for more than 50 years; Mrs. Curtis especially who took my mom under her wing as a very young woman. When our family was devastated by grief and loss, Peter & Ingrid, and their fine children, were our refuge, our beacon. At this time, you are in our thoughts and hearts.
To all the Curtis family, we send our love and deepest condolences.

Dear Pete, Ingrid, Linda and John, some of my favorite moments in life have been in the company of Ingrid, at this time of year, sitting on the deck, watching the sunset on the bay with a glass of good cheer and a feed of caplin. I’m so sorry she left before I said good bye…Now rest in peace dear friend!
