It is with loving thoughts and heavy hearts we share the passing of Susan Howlett, (nee Morgan) at the age of 68. Fortunately, she wasn’t afraid of death and took great comfort in her faith. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, her parents Leslie and Ada Morgan and her brothers Frederick and Gary.

Leaving behind with fond and loving memories to cherish her three sons and adopted daughter; Leslie (Charlene) and their three daughters Naomi, Sarah and Rachel who live in Fort McMurray Alberta, Rod (Kimberly) and son Jordan from CBS, and her youngest son Morgan (Shannon) and their two children Sesily and Samuel, and Lina (Edgar White) of Codroy Valley. In addition are her siblings, Eunice Wells (Harold) Botwood, Sandra Wiseman (Hubert) of Botwood, Robert Morgan (Patricia), Jerry Morgan (Phyllis) Bay Roberts, Joan Morgan, Janet Brown (Duke), Rick Morgan (Michelle), Cynthia Benmore, Kimberly Fowler and partner Robert Kennedy.
Susan has a very large extended family and a host of wonderful friends and spiritual sisters and brothers but we must acknowledge one person, Myrna Keats, Susan’s best friend, companion, and care giver, who was by Susan’s side for over 30 years.
Special thanks to her Pastoral team from Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle including the hospital chaplain Pastor Sean Bowers. We also would like to thank the doctors and staff of St. Clare’s, specifically 4 West. Susan received wonderful, compassionate care from a team of exceptional healthcare providers. Words cannot express our gratitude.
Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday August 21st at 1pm. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If you feel inclined to do so donations can be made to the Gideons.

To the Morgan and Howlett families; I got to know Susan over the years from Hillgate Joys conferences when I would sit and chat with her and Ada “Nan Morgan”. She was such a sweet lady, and she always spoke lovingly about her family. It was clear that she cherished you all. I pray that the Lord will be with you through the coming days as you celebrate Susan’s life, and that you rest in Him in times of sorrow and need. Susan’s memory will live on in those who knew her and loved her. Sending you my love and prayers.

So sorry to hear of Susan’s passing, my condolences to all family members. I have very fond memories of Susan from my high school days when Lina and I were friends. Susan always had a smile and a warm hug for me whenever I’d visit her home….and her laughter would always make me smile. She always had a kind, encouraging word to help you along the way, she will surely be missed by many. Take comfort in knowing she’s at peace and in no more pain, and was surely welcomed into heaven by all family and friends who have gone before her. Cherish the priceless memories and rest in the knowledge that you will see her again someday.

To Les Rod and Morgan and the Morgan Family.

Perry and I would like to express our condolences to you and your families today on the loss of your mom, sister and my aunt.
Due to living away we are unable to be there but our thoughts and prayers have been with you all since we heard of aunt Suzie’s passing.
I will always remember,as a child, Aunt Suzie with her arms stretched out looking for a hug as soon as she seen me.. This always happened when my family and I would go in town for Christmas holidays or school break. . She always had an encouraging words to say. She had a personality that was very contagious and all my friends who meet her was drawn to her.
Saddly as we get caught up in life family and work and my time in town was very little. But this summer I actually got to see aunt Suzie unknown to me would be my last. But she never changed she looked the same as she always did with a big smile and the cheerful voice and yes still looking for her hugs. She never let on to us that she was unwell or sick.

So today as hard as it is, let us rejoice because she may have left this earthly home for one with no more sickness and pain
She is with her Lord who she so strongly and faithfully served. Her journey here on earth has ended and she’s now walking on the streets of gold.

I will forever hold onto my few precious memories I have of her I will remember the love she had shown for each of her children, grandchildren and siblings.

So us remember aunt Suzy and the impact impact she has made in each one of our lives, let us remember special coversations, visits, big family gatherings. Remember your quiet phone calls words of encouragement her laughter and love of life.

We look forward to the day we see her again but until then I will hold onto my memories of her as I am all of u will.

We Love you all.

On behalf of our entire Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle family may I express our sincere condolences to Susan’s family circle on the passing of a wonderful lady.
Having recently returned from Ontario I’m in self-isolation and regrettably cannot conduct the service of remembrance and celebration of Susan’s life. Pastor Eugene Rowe will represent us well.
As a child Susan lived next door to my grandparents on Blacker Ave. and so it was a great joy to meet Susan when I began pastoring at Elim in 2018.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you during these days.
as believers and followers of Jesus our Lord we have the promise of eternal life. may God’s word comfort and strengthen your faith : 1 Corinthians 15: Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him… 51 Behold I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised , and we will be changed. (Pastor Fred Penney, Elim Tabernacle)

I only knew Susan a customer in the store where I’ve worked for the past 5 years (Stokes at the Village), however she treated me like an old friend everytime she saw me and we had many laughs together in the store over the past few years. She was truly one of my favorite customers to see come through the door and I’m so sorry to hear this news. I’ll always remember her laugh…. and every time she gave me her email address to enter our contests it was with the comment “you don’t say my name”, you “Howl-it” with a big grin and laugh. God Bless.
