Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Tyler Todd Engram on May 15th, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, at the age of 30 years, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his grandfather Clayton Engram, great grandfather Ralph Dominie and cousin Stirling Perham. Leaving to mourn his loving spouse, Laura O’Rielly; his loving mother Geraldine Engram; grandmother, Margaret Engram; Aunts: Bernice Perham (Edmund), Michelle Matthews (Dave) and Teena Engram; uncle Todd Engram (Amanda); great uncle and aunt, Eric and Linda Kendell; also leaving to mourn Laura’s family: Thomas, Rona, Kathryn, Scott, Mat, Roxane, Derrick, Chloe and Evelyn; also many cousins and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Al-Asaaed and the Oncology Team, Dr. Holmes, the staff at the Cancer Clinic and members of the Avalon Karate Club. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday, May 17th from 12 noon to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted by the family or may be made in Tyler’s memory to the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.

It was such a pleasure knowing Tyler and working together at Shoppers Drug Mart. What I will always remember about Tyler is his determination and seemingly infallible positive attitude towards life’s challenges. His athletic accomplishments in karate, deciding to change careers from pharmacy and finally battling cancer were all evidence of that. He was an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many others.

While I only had the pleasure of meeting Tyler a few times, I feel like I have know him much longer through the many conversations we’ve had and the stories you have shared about him. It was with heavy heart we both learned of Tyler’s passing. He was a young man who was loved by all. Uncle Eli enjoyed his phone conversation with him earlier this year. Our prayers and heart felt love goes out to you all. So sorry we cant be there, but circumstances will not allow. Great uncle Eli and Aunt Darlene.
